Digital Futures

An immersive way to experience the future of tech

Digital Futures was an event designed to inspire and empower women to explore career pathways in technology, creating an environment that showcased the possibilities within the digital industry. To bring this vision to life in a more engaging and memorable way, we developed an augmented reality (AR) treasure hunt app that transformed the event into an interactive experience.

Rather than simply attending sessions, participants were encouraged to explore, discover, and engage with content throughout the event. By scanning markers and interacting with AR elements, users could unlock information, uncover opportunities and connect with different aspects of the digital world in a fun and accessible way.

The AR treasure hunt transformed the event into an interactive journey, encouraging attendees to explore and engage with different touchpoints throughout the space. Hidden markers were placed around the event and with their devices, users could unlock augmented reality experiences, discover hidden content and collect clues along the way.

The app also featured detailed speaker profiles, allowing attendees to explore bios, learn more about each presenter and plan their experience. Users could favourite speakers to keep track of sessions they didn’t want to miss, and even vote for their favourites – creating a more interactive and engaging way to connect with the event and its speakers.
