A Purpose-Built Platform for Smarter Outdoor Permit Management

Land managers and administrators overseeing outdoor areas face a unique set of challenges – from issuing permits and monitoring access to responding to emergencies in real time. Many were relying on manual processes, spreadsheets, or fragmented systems that couldn’t keep up with the pace of on-the-ground operations.

Communicating urgent safety information to permit holders in the field was slow and unreliable. Area closures required manual intervention across multiple channels, and there was no single source of truth for who held active permits, where they were, or whether payments were up to date.

We built Permit Mate – a connected platform consisting of a powerful web-based admin dashboard and a companion mobile app – designed to give land administrators complete control while putting everything outdoor adventurers need right in their pocket. From permit sales and map management to emergency alerts and area closures, Permit Mate brings it all together in one seamless system.

View Users, Permits & Purchases

Full visibility into operations is available from a single admin panel. Administrators can monitor the entire user base, view active and expired permits, review purchase history, and access revenue analytics – all without switching between systems. This gives land managers the insight they need to make informed decisions about capacity, pricing, and area management.

Manage App Content in Real Time

The Permit Mate dashboard gives administrators instant control over everything users see in the app. Permit listings, area descriptions, pricing, and availability can all be updated on the fly – with changes going live to all users the moment they’re published. There’s no need to contact a developer or wait for a deployment; the content is entirely in the hands of the people who know it best.

Update Maps in Real Time

Area boundaries can be drawn, edited, and published directly within the admin dashboard using an intuitive map interface. Whether boundaries shift seasonally, new zones are opened, or access corridors need adjusting, administrators can keep geographic data accurate and up to date without any technical expertise. Users on the app always see the most current, reliable map of their permitted areas.

Close Off Areas for Emergencies

When conditions on the ground change fast, the dashboard keeps pace. Administrators can instantly lock down any area – triggered by a bushfire, flash flood, dangerous wildlife activity, or any other emergency – with access blocked and users notified within seconds.
